Jobot in Austin seeks a seasoned Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis. You will handle representations in court, provide in-depth legal advice, and manage case work from inception to resolution, including trial and settlements.

This role requires a JD, bar admission, and a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience. Excellent writing, research, and client-relations skills are essential in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience with a proven track record.
• Excellent legal writing and analytical skills.
• Strong litigation experience including trial, arbitration and settlements.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in a wide range of civil and commercial litigation matters.
• Conduct thorough legal research and fact investigation to identify potential claims and defenses.
• Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
• Present oral arguments in court hearings and cross-examine witnesses.
• Develop case strategy with team members and clients, considering outcomes, risks and costs.
• Negotiate settlements to resolve disputes efficiently.
• Maintain client relationships with regular case updates and sound legal advice.
• Stay updated on current legal developments that may affect cases.
