Jobot seeks a Permanent General Liability Attorney to join our Austin team. You will handle a broad range of liability matters, from discovery to trial and appeal, in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Juris Doctorate, is admitted to the Texas State Bar, and has 5+ years of trial experience in general liability, with strong research and writing skills.

We offer health, dental, vision Insurance, a 401K, and a salary range of $115,000–$200,000 per year for on-site employment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the State Bar of Texas.
• At least 5 years of trial experience in general liability.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in all stages of litigation, from filing to trial and appeal.
• Prepare and argue motions, take and defend depositions, and engage in discovery.
• Handle a caseload of general liability matters, including insurance defense, premises, product liability, trucking and asbestos.
• Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Negotiate settlements, mediations, and arbitration.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure effective case management.
• Maintain compliance with laws and ethical rules of professional conduct.
