Job summary

Trueline Talent is seeking Litigation Attorneys for its Austin team. This role involves managing a civil docket across Texas, handling insurance defense and related matters, and mentoring junior attorneys.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• At least 5 years of substantive civil litigation experience.
• Insurance defense, personal injury, commercial transportation, or related experience.
• Significant discovery and deposition experience.
• Strong motion practice and legal writing.
• Experience handling hearings and contested proceedings.
• Strong client, carrier, and insured communication.
• Ability to meet the firm's Associate billable expectation of 160 hours per month (1,920 annually).
• Ability to work in-office and travel across Texas as required.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an active civil litigation docket throughout Texas.
• Handle insurance defense, personal injury, commercial transportation, construction defect, and related matters.
• Take ownership of 25+ active cases and develop litigation strategy and risk assessments.
• Maintain regular client and carrier communications and draft/ respond to discovery and briefs.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions and participate in trial proceedings.
• Mentor junior attorneys and coordinate with legal support.
