Swiss Re is seeking a sharp, curious, and collaborative Life & Health underwriter to drive evidence-based risk decisions, partner with clients, and contribute to a learning- oriented culture. You will work across medical, financial, product, and governance considerations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service.

The role emphasizes continuous learning, familiarity with AI-enabled underwriting tools, and staying current on industry guidance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Life & Health Underwriting experience
• FLMI and/or FALU designation, or active progress toward earning one
• Familiarity with AI-enabled underwriting tools and digital resources

Responsabilités

• Apply disciplined, evidence-based risk selection across medical, non-medical, financial, product, market, and governance considerations.
• Escalate complex matters and apply guidelines in a commercially sound way.
• Partner with clients and cross-functional teams to provide underwriting expertise for projects via phone and email.
• Promote Life Guide and stay current on updates and guidance.
• Participate in client underwriting seminars and industry discussions to strengthen relationships.
• Attend internal training programs, forums, and meetings for continuous learning.
• Maintain knowledge of core insurance products, legislation, taxation, and underwriting tools.
• Travel as needed for internal meetings and client engagements (10% or less).
