Job summary

Wealthfront Mortgage Operations (MOps) seeks an experienced Mortgage Loan Originator to join a fast-growing, tech-enabled lending team in Palo Alto. You will guide Wealthfront clients through the intake and closing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with TRID/HMDA and state/federal regulations.

The role requires 4+ years of experience, a current MLO license, and strong knowledge of Conventional Conforming and Jumbo guidelines.

Qualifications

• Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with current licensing and registrations.
• 4+ years of experience in mortgage origination or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of Federal and state lending regulations (TRID, HMDA) and related compliance.
• Deep understanding of Conventional Conforming and Jumbo guidelines.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills with internal/external stakeholders.
• Experience in wholesale and/or correspondent channels preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and educate clients through intake and final loan closing.
• Ensure all initial application data and documents are accurate before processing.
• Act as primary contact and set clear client expectations on timelines.
• Deliver initial loan disclosures timely and ensure regulatory compliance.
