Job summary

SOC LLC is seeking a Senior Network Escalation Engineer to support mission‑critical Federal customer environments in Herndon, VA. You will lead high‑priority escalations, perform advanced root cause analysis, and act as the senior technical authority during outages and executive escalations.

The role focuses on Juniper EX/QFX switching, EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, and OSPF within secure networks. You will mentor others, collaborate with Engineering, and develop scalable support processes for improved

Qualifications

Security clearance TS/SCI at time of hire.
On-site in Herndon, VA 9:00–17:00.
10+ years of enterprise networking experience.
5+ years of switching experience.
5+ years in a senior escalation role (TAC/Tier 3).
Deep expertise with Juniper EX and QFX platforms.
Strong knowledge of EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, L2/L3 networks.
Experience in DoD/IC or secure environments.
Strong communication with technical and executive stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Lead resolution of high‑priority customer escalations and act as senior GovTAC escalation point.
Drive root cause analysis across networking, software, and hardware domains during incidents.
Analyze packet captures, logs, and diagnostics to isolate complex issues.
Reproduce issues in lab environments and validate fixes with Engineering.
Develop mitigations, workarounds, and long‑term corrective actions.
Collaborate with Engineering on defect identification and product improvements.
Mentor engineers and share knowledge on best practices.
Document troubleshooting methodologies and improve support processes.
Serve as a trusted advisor to customers and internal stakeholders.
