Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Network Escalation Engineer to provide advanced technical support for complex Federal customer environments. The role focuses on critical escalations, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and customer engagement, with a strong emphasis on Juniper switching, data center networking, and Layer 2/Layer 3 technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and resolve high-priority and business-critical customer escalations.


• Provide advanced troubleshooting, packet analysis, and root cause analysis.


• Support Juniper switching and data center technologies.


• Lead customer escalation calls, technical reviews, and onsite engagements.


• Develop workarounds, mitigations, and permanent solutions.


• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Product Management, and Development teams.


• Document solutions and create knowledge-base and troubleshooting content.


• Mentor engineers and drive operational improvements.

Required Technical Skills

• 10+ years of networking experience; 7+ years in advanced escalations.


• Extensive experience with Juniper EX and QFX platforms.


• Strong Layer 2/Layer 3 networking knowledge.


• EVPN/VXLAN and data center fabric architectures.


• BGP, OSPF, multicast, IGMP/IGMP Snooping, and PIM.


• VLANs, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, VRRP, QoS/CoS, and 802.1X.


• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ARP, ICMP, TCP/UDP, and VPN technologies.


• Strong packet capture and protocol troubleshooting skills.


• Experience with Linux-based systems and troubleshooting tools.


• Excellent customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Juniper MX, MPLS, L2/L3 VPNs, or SRX firewalls.


• Python, Perl, Shell, or network automation experience.


• JNCIP/JNCIE or CCNP/CCIE certifications.


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
