Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care Information Services seeks a Senior IT Support Consultant to provide advanced hardware support, configuration, and installation across UI Health Care and UI Community Connect sites. You will participate in project administration, inventory, and scheduling while focusing on printing environments, patient care devices, and clinical systems.

You will analyze device needs, install configurations, and develop documentation for complex hardware and software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience 3-5 years supporting workstations running Windows 10 and MS Office 2016/365
• Experience running small to large IT related projects in an enterprise environment.
• Experience working with desktop hardware and software in an enterprise IT environment.
• Experience working in an Enterprise IT Service Center
• Ability to move and install clinical systems device/computer/printer
• Valid driver’s license and compliance with Fleet Services rules and regulations

Responsibilities

• Analyzes printer and other systems device needs in clinical, critical care, research, and departmental environments.
• Plans, installs, and documents complex clinical systems device hardware and printer configurations.
• Develops understanding of institutional knowledge to reflect customer needs in solution planning and implementation.
• Perform proactive maintenance of equipment at UI Health Care, UI Community Connect and other locations on and off campus.
• Coordinate system upgrade testing at UI Health Care and UI Community Connect locations.
• Perform advanced analysis and problem resolution with hardware and software across multiple locations.
