Job summary

The Iowa Hospital Association is seeking an IT Support Technician to maintain and operate the organization’s technology infrastructure in Des Moines. You will handle hardware, software, network, cloud services and AV systems, delivering reliable, secure, and user-friendly support to staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred in IT/CS or related field.
Minimum 2 years in IT support or technician role.
CompTIA A+ certification required; MCP preferred.

Responsibilities

Installs, configures and maintains laptops, workstations, peripherals and related hardware with minimal downtime.
Supports software installations and configurations across local and cloud networks.
Monitors network, wireless and cloud operations and escalates complex issues.
Maintains AV technology; coordinates with vendors for service and troubleshooting.
Supports system security, data privacy and regular documentation.
Provides onboarding and ongoing technical orientation for staff.
Keeps detailed documentation of systems, repairs, inventory and changes.
Assists with IT budgeting and cost-effective recommendations.
