Job summary

Heartland Community Health Center seeks an IT Support Specialist Tier 2 to optimize and support clinical and business IT systems. This role bridges front-line support and senior IT staff, delivering application support, workflow improvements, and secure technology solutions for daily operations.

You will work with end users, vendors, and stakeholders on upgrades, integrations, and incident resolution, while modeling best practices in documentation and patient data privacy.

Qualifications

• Experience in software implementations, upgrades, testing, or workflow improvement.
• Experience with healthcare IT and EHR systems preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and business productivity applications required; EHR support preferred.
• 2–4 years of IT experience in healthcare tech or business applications.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combinations of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel between Heartland locations for implementations, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Provide training and technical guidance on applications and workflows.
• Support HIPAA privacy, security, and access control practices.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, changes, incidents, and resolutions.
• Identify trends and recommend improvements to reduce disruptions.
• Coordinate IT projects, testing, and user communication.
• Assist with data reporting, system queries, and audits.
• Provide end-user support for healthcare applications and Microsoft 365.
