Job summary

TEKsystems in Washington, DC is seeking an IT Support Engineer to provide end-user desktop, laptop, mobile device, AD, Azure, Exchange, and Office 365 support, with both on-site and remote assistance and after-hours on-call coverage. The role emphasizes professional communication, strong troubleshooting, and collaboration across operations to keep business systems running smoothly.

The successful candidate will have 8+ years of technical user support experience in small to mid-size environments,

Qualifications

8+ years of technical user support experience.
Experience in small to medium-scale environments (under 100 people) preferred.
Boutique financial services, law firm, or family office experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills.
Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field required.
Ability to work in highly secure and confidential environments.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite and remote assistance for technical requests; diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
Monitor and track support requests in the helpdesk system; document resolutions.
Train users on supported hardware, software, and services.
Provide after-hours/on-call support as needed.
Set up, test, deploy, and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, and AV equipment.
Create and maintain documentation of IT processes and knowledge base.
