Job summary

CAI is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead and deliver technology projects from initiation through closure in a remote contract role. You will ensure execution within scope, schedule, and budget while engaging sponsors and cross‑functional teams, following established governance standards.

Strong stakeholder communication and expertise with Agile or Waterfall methodologies are required. This role emphasizes governance, risk management, and continuous improvement to maximize business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive professional experience in project management.
• Experience managing projects through full lifecycle.
• Experience developing project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Strong knowledge of governance, risk, issue, and change control processes.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Planisware.
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initiation through closure, ensuring delivery within timelines, budgets, and scope.
• Partner with sponsors and stakeholders to develop charters, objectives, deliverables, budgets, and schedules.
• Monitor and manage plans, risks, issues, dependencies, resources, and change requests.
• Communicate status, milestones, risks, and decisions to stakeholders and PMOs.
• Coordinate resources and staff with functional managers as required.
• Ensure deliverables comply with project governance standards.
• Facilitate risk identification, mitigation, issue resolution, and change management.
• Track financials, resource allocations, forecasts, and recovery plans.
• Collaborate to define, measure, and realize project benefits and business value.
• Contribute to continuous improvement via lessons learned and best practices.
• Lead project closeout activities, including summaries and leadership reviews.
