Job summary

CAI is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead and deliver technology projects from initiation through closure on a remote, contract basis. You will manage scope, schedule, and budget while aligning with governance standards, collaborating with sponsors and cross-functional teams to drive project success.

The role requires 7+ years of progressive PM experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies. This is a remote contract opportunity with CAI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, PM or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in project management, including large engineering projects.
• Experience delivering projects through full lifecycle.
• Ability to develop project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Strong governance, risk, issue, and change control knowledge.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Planisware or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initiation to closure within approved timelines, budgets, and scope.
• Partner with sponsors and stakeholders to develop charters, objectives, deliverables, budgets, and schedules.
• Monitor plans, risks, issues, dependencies, resources, and change requests.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders, PMOs, and steering committees.
• Coordinate project staffing with functional managers as required.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with PM standards and governance.
• Facilitate risk identification, mitigation planning, issue resolution, and change control processes.
• Track project financials, resource allocations, forecasts, and recovery plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to realize business value and benefits.
• Contribute to lessons learned and process improvements.
• Lead project closeout activities with leadership.
