Job summary

CAI is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead and deliver IT projects from initiation through closure, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence in a remote contract role. You will collaborate with sponsors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive project success using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of progressive project management experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and proficiency with MS Project or Planisware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive professional experience in project management, including experience managing large engineering projects
• Demonstrated experience managing projects through the full project lifecycle
• Experience developing project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource allocations
• Strong knowledge of project governance, risk management, issue management, and change control processes
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Planisware, or similar platforms
• Knowledge of software development methodologies including Agile and Waterfall
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initiation through closure, ensuring delivery within approved timelines, budgets, and scope
• Partner with project sponsors and stakeholders to develop project charters, define objectives, deliverables, resource requirements, budgets, and schedules
• Monitor and manage project plans, risks, issues, dependencies, resources, and change requests
• Communicate project status, milestones, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders, PMOs, and steering committees
• Coordinate project resources and negotiate staffing needs with functional managers as required
• Ensure all project deliverables and documentation comply with established project management standards and governance requirements
• Facilitate risk identification, mitigation planning, issue resolution, and change management processes
• Track project financials, resource allocations, forecasts, and recovery plans across fiscal periods
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define, measure, and realize project benefits and business value
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through lessons learned, process enhancements, and project management best practices
• Lead project closeout activities, including project summaries, presentations, and closure reviews with leadership teams
