GovCIO is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead mission-critical infrastructure modernization for the U.S. Coast Guard.

This remote role focuses on network hardware refreshes, OOB management deployments, and VSAT replacements, coordinating with stakeholders, field teams, and vendors to ensure mission success. You will manage end-to-end planning and delivery, maintain schedules, budgets, and documentation while upholding federal standards and SLAs.

Competenze

• PMP or equivalent federal project management certification is required.
• Experience managing large federal contracts or enterprise IT deployments, preferably DoD/DHS/USCG.
• Experience deploying Out-of-Band (OOB) management architectures for remote network resilience.
• Knowledge of satellite communications and legacy VSAT transitions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with briefing experience to executives.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and PMO tooling for schedules, resources, and performance.

Mansioni

• Lead multiple parallel IT infrastructure projects from initiation through closure.
• Define scope, create WBS, maintain schedules, and manage critical paths.
• Identify and mitigate technical, logistical, and timeline risks; develop contingencies.
• Serve as primary contact for USCG leadership, vendors, and technical leads.
• Ensure SLAs, delivery timelines, and federal regulations compliance.
• Manage budgets, expenditures, forecasting, and procurement workflows for network hardware and services.
• Coordinate tasks of engineers, field technicians, site readiness coordinators, and security teams.
• Quality-check deliverables, engineering docs, change tickets, and MSRs.
• Drive efficiencies by applying best practices in IT project management.
