Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support mission-critical infrastructure modernization programs for the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG). This position will be a key technical leader within the PMO, driving complex network tech refreshes, OOB management deployments, and legacy VSAT replacement programs across USCG sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 12+ years of experience.
• Certifications: PMP or equivalent federal PM certification.
• Proven experience managing large-scale federal contracts or enterprise IT deployments.
• Experience deploying Out-of-Band (OOB) management architectures.
• Strong MS Project and Excel proficiency.
• Excellent communication with executive government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple parallel IT infrastructure projects from initiation to closure.
• Define scope, WBS, schedules, and critical path management.
• Identify and mitigate risks; develop contingency plans.
• Serve as main point of contact for USCG leadership and vendors.
• Manage budgets, expenditures, and procurement workflows.
• Coordinate engineers, technicians, and security teams across sites.
• Quality-check deliverables, engineering docs, and MSRs.
• Drive IT project management best practices and alignment with standards.
