Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead mission-critical infrastructure modernization programs for the U.S. Coast Guard.

This remote role requires coordinating with stakeholders, engineers, and vendors to deliver network refreshes and OOB management deployments with strict SLAs and security controls. You will drive end-to-end planning, budgeting, and performance reporting while ensuring compliance with federal architecture standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 12+ years of experience.
• Certifications: PMP or equivalent federal PM certification.
• Experience managing large-scale federal contracts or enterprise IT deployments.
• Experience deploying OOB management architectures for remote networks.
• Knowledge of satellite communications and legacy VSAT transitions.
• Able to present to executive government stakeholders using clear briefs.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of complex IT infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with USCG stakeholders, engineers, field technicians and vendors.
• Manage scope, schedules, risks, and contingency plans to minimize downtime.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, timelines, and government regulations.
• Oversee budgets, expenditures, and procurement workflows.
• Direct network engineers and site readiness teams across deployment locations.
• Quality-check delivery artifacts, change tickets, and MSRs.
• Promote best practices in IT project management aligned with federal standards.
