Dow Inc. seeks a Senior IP Counsel to provide strategic intellectual property counsel within the Commercial & Innovation Law group. The role supports Dow’s Packaging & Specialty Plastics business from Lake Jackson, TX or Midland, MI, working closely with business and technology teams.

You will draft and prosecute patents, negotiate IP agreements, manage external counsel, and help shape IP strategies that protect Dow’s competitive advantage while enabling innovation and growth across markets.

Competenze

• JD or LL.M. with bar admission in the United States.
• Minimum 4 years of practice in Intellectual Property law.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship.
• BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related technology.
• Registered to practice before the USPTO.

Mansioni

• Provide strategic IP counsel on a global scale for Dow’s Packaging & Specialty Plastics business.
• Review, draft, and negotiate IP-related agreements (technology development, licenses, confidentiality, joint development).
• Identify IP risks and opportunities with business teams and develop solutions.
• Develop and manage IP strategies aligning with business objectives and value.
• Build and manage patent portfolios; coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
• Deliver internal client training on IP topics and risk mitigation.
