Dow Inc. is seeking a Senior IP Counsel in its Commercial & Innovation Law group, based in Lake Jackson, TX or Midland, MI. You will provide practical, business-focused IP counsel on patents, trade secrets, licensing, and related commercial matters.

You will build patent portfolios, advise on technology development, and collaborate with business and research teams to align IP strategy with corporate goals. Domestic relocation support is available.

Qualifikationen

• Juris Doctor or Master of Laws.
• A minimum of 4 years practicing Intellectual Property law either in-house or with a major law firm.
• Admission to State Bar or eligible for admission.
• B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar technology.
• Registered to practice before the USPTO.
• A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

• Be a simplifier and solver of strategic-level intellectual property challenges for clients in a global tech company.
• Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of IP agreements.
• Identify IP risks and opportunities in meetings and develop solutions to enable innovation and growth.
• Develop and implement IP strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Build and manage patent portfolios by drafting and prosecuting applications and managing outside counsel.
