Job summary

AeroVironment is hiring a Material Planner III to maintain optimal inventory levels for production efficiency. You will track and reconcile stock, collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams, and ensure data accuracy across ERP/MRP systems.

The role requires 2–4 years of inventory experience, MS Office proficiency, and strong analytical and communication skills. This position may involve handling packaging and shipping duties and requires adherence to ITAR compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of related stockroom/inventory experience or equivalent.
• Foundational knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience working with MRP/ERP systems for inventory tracking and control.
• Demonstrated computer skills with office software and/or computerized inventory control system.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required to drive company vehicles.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials meet production needs.
• Receive, count stock items, and record data in the ERP/MRP system.
• Pack/unpack items for stocking on shelves in stockroom.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits to reconcile stock.
• Investigate and resolve inventory variances with procurement, warehouse, and production teams.
• Distribute materials to customers or coworkers based on requisitions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP/MRP system.
• Assist with packaging and shipping as needed (domestic and international).
• Track incoming shipments and expedite critical materials with suppliers.
• Contribute to inventory control policy improvements and process optimizations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or inventory managers.
