Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Senior Principal Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst to lead integrated master schedules for highly complex projects. The role requires expert-level scheduling knowledge, EVM proficiency, and multi-team coordination.

You will drive risk analysis, manage critical paths, and mentor junior schedulers while partnering with engineering and program management. A Secret clearance is required and a hybrid office environment is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
• In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of related experience is required.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project Professional or other scheduling tool.
• Ability to proactively drive conversations and ask detailed questions.
• Excellent follow-up/follow-through skills.
• Advanced proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
• Deep knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and systems.
• Knowledge of DCMA 14-point & IPMDAR DI_MGMT-81861 and Mil Standard 881.
• Expertise in CP Analysis and Schedule Risk Analysis.
• Advanced understanding of Schedule Performance and Health Metric Analysis.
• Mastery in Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, development, and coordination of integrated master plans and schedules for highly complex projects.
• Oversee tracking and maintenance of project plans to ensure cross-enterprise integration.
• Conduct advanced risk analysis to mitigate schedule risks.
• Identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts using CPM/PERT.
• Evaluate schedule compliance and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on schedule status to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scheduling data accuracy.
• Mentor junior analysts in advanced scheduling techniques.
• Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making on scheduling.
• Support development and implementation of scheduling best practices.
