Job summary

EY in the United States seeks an experienced insurance claims professional to quantify complex commercial claims and support policyholders through the process. You'll collaborate with forensic accountants, valuation professionals, attorneys, risk managers, brokers, and insurers on hurricane, wildfire, cyber, and other catastrophic events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics.
• 2+ years working for an accounting or consulting firm in forensic accounting or dispute & damages.
• Pursuing CPA, CFE, or CFF professional designation.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
• Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites; a driver’s license is strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Support the analysis, preparation, and management of complex commercial insurance claims arising from property damage, BI, cyber, construction losses, and other disruptions.
• Collaborate with clients, brokers, insurers, adjusters, attorneys, engineers and other stakeholders to gather and evaluate claim-related information.
• Develop well-supported claim submissions and leverage technical skills to address clients’ needs.
• Travel to client sites and be present in-office as required.
