Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced insurance claims professional to join our practice. You will work alongside forensic accountants, valuation professionals, attorneys, risk managers, brokers, and insurers to quantify complex insurance claims and support policyholders throughout the claims process.

This role offers exposure to large, complex claims from hurricanes, wildfires, cyber incidents, and other catastrophes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics.
• 2+ years working for an accounting or consulting firm in forensic accounting or dispute & damages.
• Pursuing or holding CPA, CFE or CFF designation.
• Strong organization and time management, and ability to prioritize multiple engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
• Access to reliable transportation; driver’s license recommended.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis, preparation, and management of complex commercial insurance claims.
• Collaborate with clients, brokers, insurers, adjusters, attorneys, engineers and other stakeholders to gather and evaluate claim-related information.
• Assess financial impacts and develop well-supported claim submissions.
• Travel and presence at client sites and in-office work are required.
