Job summary

EY’s Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services is seeking an experienced Manager to lead complex insurance recovery engagements in a consulting setting. You will advise clients through significant losses and oversee teams responsible for multimillion-dollar claims, collaborating with policyholders, brokers, and attorneys to maximize financial recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Economics, or related field.
• 7+ years of commercial insurance claims experience.
• Experience as Property Adjuster, General Adjuster, Executive General Adjuster, Large Loss Adjuster, Complex Claims Specialist, Business Interruption Adjuster, or similar.
• Strong understanding of commercial property, business interruption, extra expense, cyber, builder's risk, or other first-party insurance claims.
• Experience managing large and complex losses involving multiple stakeholders.
• Achieved a professional designation, such as CPCU, CPA, CFE, CFF.
• Strong project management and client relationship management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading teams.
• Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary.
• Access to reliable transportation; driver’s license recommended.

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive financial, economic and strategic advice to companies with complex disaster recovery and insurance claims.
• Reading, summarizing and advising clients on multiple types of insurance policies and coverages.
• Developing claim strategies based on the policy and claim type.
• Following a loss, advising clients throughout their recovery by exploring all coverages.
• Track and place costs within policy parameters for claim preparation.
