Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced insurance claims professional to join our Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services practice. You will work with forensic accountants, valuation professionals, attorneys, and brokers to quantify complex insurance claims and support policyholders throughout the claims process.

This role offers exposure to large, complex claims from events such as hurricanes, cyber incidents, and operational disruptions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics.
• 2+ years working for an accounting or consulting firm in forensic accounting or dispute & damages.
• Achieved, or be working towards a professional designation, such as CPA, CFE or CFF.
• Effective organization and time management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
• Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations

Responsibilities

• Support the analysis, preparation, and management of complex commercial insurance claims arising from property damage, business interruption, cyber incidents, construction losses, and other operational disruptions.
• Work closely with clients, brokers, insurers, adjusters, attorneys, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather and evaluate claim-related information, assess financial impacts, and develop well-supported claim submissions.
• Leverage technical skills to creatively assess and resolve our clients’ needs from the front lines.
• Travel and presence at client sites, along with in-office presence will be required.
