Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Designer III to perform advanced instrumentation and control system design for power generation, renewables, BESS, substations, and industrial projects. You will independently execute complex design tasks, develop detailed construction packages, and guide junior designers while supporting EPC execution.

Qualifications

Associate degree in drafting technology, engineering technology, instrumentation technology, or related technical discipline.
5–8 years of instrumentation design experience in industrial, utility, power generation, renewable energy, or EPC environments.
Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering projects and construction execution.

Responsibilities

Independently develop instrumentation and control system design deliverables for EPC projects.
Prepare instrument location plans, installation details, loop diagrams, wiring and interconnection diagrams, and panel layouts.
Utilize Plant 3D, Revit, and Navisworks to develop detailed drawings and models; participate in BIM reviews.
Coordinate instrumentation design with electrical, mechanical, process, civil, structural, and construction teams.
Support field verification, RFIs, as-built revisions, and commissioning activities.
Mentor junior designers and contribute to design quality improvements.
