Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer III to lead design, development, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for power generation, renewables, BESS, data centers, substations, transmission, and industrial projects.

You will independently execute complex engineering assignments, support multidisciplinary EPC teams, and provide technical leadership from conceptual design through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of instrumentation and controls engineering experience.
• Experience supporting EPC projects within power generation, industrial, utility, renewable energy, or infrastructure sectors.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred; Professional Engineer licensure preferred.
• Experience with instrument indexes, I/O databases, P&ID and control narratives.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation and control system design for EPC projects.
• Develop instrument indexes, I/O lists, specs, data sheets, control architectures, loop and wiring diagrams.
• Review control logic, functional descriptions, and system operating philosophies.
• Coordinate integration with electrical, mechanical, civil, and process teams.
• Support FAT/SAT, field verification, and commissioning activities.
