Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Designer III to lead advanced instrumentation and control system design across power generation, renewables, BESS, data centers, substations, and transmission projects.

You will independently execute complex design tasks, develop construction packages, and guide junior designers while supporting EPC project execution. Strong experience with industrial instrumentation and multi-discipline coordination is essential.

Qualifications

Requires an Associate degree and 5–8 years instrumentation design experience in industrial, utility, power generation, renewable energy, or EPC environments.
Experience with large industrial facilities, power plants, data centers, or energy infrastructure projects preferred.
Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, drafting conventions, and P&ID is required.

Responsibilities

Independently develop instrumentation and control system design deliverables for EPC projects.
Create instrument location plans, installation details, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.
Coordinate multidisciplinary design reviews and ensure designs meet constructability and safety requirements.
Support field verification, RFIs, and commissioning activities with design clarification.
