Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Instrumentation Designer IV to lead development of instrumentation and control system designs for power generation, renewables, BESS, data centers, and substations. You will independently execute advanced design assignments and coordinate multidisciplinary project efforts within EPC teams.

The role requires extensive experience in instrumentation design, industrial control systems, and 3D modeling, with a proven ability to develop

Qualifications

Associate degree in Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or related technical discipline.
8–10 years instrumentation design experience in industrial/utility/power/ EPC environments.
Experience with large-scale industrial facilities, power plants, substations, battery storage facilities, or mission-critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Lead instrumentation design deliverables for complex EPC projects.
Develop instrument location plans, loop diagrams, cable schedules, and I/O schedules.
Coordinate instrumentation design within 3D models and BIM environments; perform clash detection.
Support field verification, commissioning, and troubleshooting during startup.
Mentor junior designers and ensure quality and safety in design packages.
