Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions seeks a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to lead instrumentation, controls, and automation systems for power generation, renewables, BESS, data centers, substations, and industrial sites. You will guide EPC project execution with hands-on design, mentorship, and technical oversight.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in process control, PLC/DCS platforms, and automation technologies, delivering complex projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in instrumentation and controls engineering.
• Extensive EPC experience in power, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• PE license preferred; CAP certification preferred.
• Ability to lead engineering teams and complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation and control system design for power generation, renewables, data centers, substations, and industrial projects.
• Develop instrument data sheets, I/O lists, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and functional specs.
• Lead PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI development and integration across projects.
• Coordinate integration with electrical, mechanical, and process teams; review related interfaces.
• Support commissioning activities including FAT, SAT, loop checks, and startup testing.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Review vendor packages and maintain engineering standards and documentation.
