Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Designer III to perform advanced instrumentation and control system design for power generation, renewables, BESS, data centers, substations, and industrial facilities.

The role requires leading design development, creating construction packages, and guiding junior designers while supporting EPC project execution. Strong coordination with multiple disciplines is essential.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

Independently develop instrumentation and control system design deliverables for EPC projects.
Prepare, review, and coordinate instrument location plans, installation details, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, junction box layouts, cable schedules, instrument indexes, control panel layouts, instrument cable routing, P&ID markups, and interface drawings.
Create detailed construction packages utilizing engineering specs, calculations, vendor documentation, and project requirements.
Ensure instrumentation designs support constructability, maintainability, safety, and operational requirements.
Coordinate instrumentation design activities with electrical, mechanical, process, civil, structural, and construction teams.
Conduct field verification activities and site walkdowns; support RFIs and field design questions; revise drawings for field conditions and as-built requirements.
