Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Instrumentation Designer IV to lead complex instrumentation and control system designs for power generation, renewables, BESS, data centers, substations, and industrial facilities.

The role requires coordinating multidisciplinary teams, developing construction packages, and serving as a technical resource across EPC project execution. Strong 3D modeling and standard compliance are essential.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or related technical discipline.
Minimum 8–10 years of instrumentation design experience within industrial, utility, power generation, renewables, data centers, or EPC environments.
Experience with large-scale industrial facilities, power plants, substations, battery storage facilities, or mission-critical infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead instrumentation design efforts across conceptual to construction phases for EPC projects.
Prepare instrument location plans, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and I/O schedules.
Coordinate 3D modeling in AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks and BIM environments.
Run clash detection and resolve design interfaces with other disciplines.
Develop material take-offs, procurement support, and design deliverables.
Mentor junior designers and ensure compliance with standards and QA/QC.
