Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Sr Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to design and optimize control systems for state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities across the United States. You will develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document designs while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and designers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in Instrumentation and Control.
• Experience with mission critical control systems including Building Management Systems (BMS), SCADA, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Professional Engineering License (PE) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Control Systems Engineering (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize control systems for processes across facilities.
• Develop P&IDs, size valves, and specify instrumentation.
• Document and model design information while ensuring codes and standards compliance.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
