Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Sr Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to design and optimize control systems for state-of-the-art facilities across the United States. You will develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document operations while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

You will lead projects, collaborate with architects and engineers, and provide on-site startup support. A PE license and data center experience are highly valued as you mentor junior staff and contribute

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field and 6+ years in instrumentation and control.
• Experience with mission-critical control systems including BMS, SCADA, and DCS.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor junior professionals.
• Experience with data center control systems and infrastructure components.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize control systems for various processes.
• Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document operations.
• Provide on-site support during startup and coordinate with staff and discipline lead.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and develop options and optimizations for process control.
• Mentor junior staff and drive best-practice improvements.
