Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Sr Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to design and optimize control systems for state-of-the-art facilities. You will develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation and ensure compliance with codes while coordinating with architects, engineers and designers.

You will lead projects, mentor junior staff, and work across multi-disciplinary teams in a hybrid US office/remote setting, with a competitive package including health benefits, stock options and PPTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related engineering field is required.
• At least 6 years of experience with Instrumentation and Control systems.
• Demonstrated experience in mission critical control systems including BMS, SCADA and DCS.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize control systems for processes in multi-disciplinary facilities.
• Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation and document design information.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.
• Lead project teams, coordinate activities with staff and discipline lead.
• Provide on-site support during startup and collaboration with architects and engineers.
• Develop options and optimizations for process control and instrumentation.
