Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Sr Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to work on state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities across the United States. You will design and optimize control systems, develop P&IDs, size valves, and document sequences of operations while coordinating with the broader project team.

You will mentor junior professionals, lead project activities, ensure safety and quality standards, and support startup activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or other related engineering or technical field.
• At least 6 years of experience with instrumentation and control.
• Experience with mission critical control systems including BMS, SCADA, and DCS.

Responsibilities

• Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document design information.
• Provide on-site assistance during startup and coordinate with discipline leads.
• Design and optimize control systems for facilities, collaborating with architects, engineers, and designers.
