Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Sr Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to design and optimize control systems for state-of-the-art facilities across the United States. You will develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document design information while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers, provide on-site startup support, and guide project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or other related engineering or technical field.
• At least 6 years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control.
• Demonstrated experience in mission critical control systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS), SCADA systems, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize control systems for various processes.
• Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document design information.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete solutions.
• Provide on-site assistance during startup and support the discipline lead.
• Mentor junior professionals and lead project teams.
