Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Sr Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to design and optimize control systems for state-of-the-art industrial facilities across the United States. You will develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document design information while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

You will also mentor junior staff and lead project teams, coordinating with architects, engineers, and designers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related engineering field.
• PE license preferred or equivalent.
• Experience with mission critical control systems and project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize control systems for processes, including P&IDs, valve sizing, and instrumentation.
• Provide on-site startup support and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Prepare and document control narratives, sequences of operations, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead project teams.
