Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions seeks an Instrumentation Engineer II to design, develop, and implement instrumentation and control systems for power generation, renewables, BESS, data centers, and substations. The role covers conceptual design through commissioning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has strong PLC/DCS/SCADA expertise, independent work capability, and a background in EPC environments supporting complex infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of instrumentation and control systems engineering experience.
• Experience in EPC, power generation, industrial, utility, or infrastructure projects preferred.
• EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support instrumentation and control system designs for EPC projects.
• Prepare instrument indexes, I/O lists, data sheets, specifications, and control narratives.
• Develop PLC, DCS, and SCADA system documentation and design deliverables.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and review vendor submittals.
• Support execution from conceptual design through commissioning, including MTOs and schedules.
• Perform loop checks, calibration, and field verifications during construction and commissioning.
