Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions, a Quanta Services company, seeks an Instrumentation Engineer IV to lead design, development, and implementation of instrumentation, controls, and automation systems across power generation, renewables, BESS, data centers, and infrastructure projects.

The role requires extensive IC experience, strong technical leadership, and a track record mentoring junior engineers throughout conceptual design to startup. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Control Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of instrumentation and controls experience.
• EPC project experience in power generation, renewables, or infrastructure preferred.
• PE license preferred or actively pursued.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation and control system design for power/industrial projects.
• Develop I/O lists, data sheets, control narratives, and P&IDs.
• Lead PLC/DCS/SCADA/HMI development and integration, including cybersecurity.
• Mentor junior engineers and review vendor packages and drawings.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design reviews and field execution support.
• Support FAT/SAT, commissioning, and startup activities.
