Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Strong medical terminology, anatomy and physiology knowledge.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review complex inpatient documentation to assign accurate codes following guidelines.
• Code high-dollar, long-stay cases across patient types.
• Collaborate with CDI and QA teams to align DRG and Medicare cases.
• Maintain continuing education and coding knowledge updates.
