Advocate Health is seeking an experienced inpatient coder to review complex documentation and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes. You will ensure accurate coding in compliance with Official Guidelines and work with CDI and Quality teams to reconcile DRGs.

AAPC/AHIMA certification is preferred, with a requirement for 7 years of inpatient coding experience in a large facility. Full-time position with benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced knowledge of ICD, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• Experience in inpatient coding in acute care.
• Certification in coding (AAPC or AHIMA) preferred.

• Ensure correct code selection following coding guidelines and regulations.
• Code high dollar and long length of stay cases.
• Collaborate with CDI and Quality teams to match DRGs.
