Advocate Health is seeking an experienced inpatient coder to assign accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes for complex cases. You will follow coding guidelines, work within revenue cycle processes, and support CDI and quality teams.

The role requires a coding certification (AAPC or AHIMA), an associate degree in health information management, and seven years of acute care inpatient coding experience. Mon-Fri, 40 hours; remote work may be approved in eligible states.

Formación

• Advanced proficiency with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology.

Responsabilidades

• Review complex inpatient documentation to assign accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS codes.
• Ensure correct code selection per Official Coding Guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain productivity targets and high-quality coding for all patient types.
• Collaborate with CDI and Quality teams to match DRGs and Medicare cases.
