Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking an Inpatient Coder II to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for inpatient services including LTACH, rehab and swing bed. You will query providers for documentation and resolve intermediate coding edits while ensuring compliance with guidelines.

You will mentor coders, participate in education opportunities, and support accuracy for HIDI and other regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Requires coding education with medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management required or Bachelor's preferred.
• CCS/RHIA/RHIT certification required or RHIT acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Code according to ICD-10-CM/PCS for inpatient services including LTACH and swing bed.
• Query providers for documentation to demonstrate severity of illness and accuracy.
• Mentor and train coders; support data accuracy for regulatory reporting.
