Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking an Inpatient Coder II to assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for acute care inpatient, rehabilitation, swing bed and LTACH services. The role requires HIM inpatient coding experience, coding education, and CCS/RHIA/RHIT certifications or equivalents.

You will query providers, mentor staff, and support documentation integrity across departments. Remote work is available for eligible states; this position emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance and ongoing

Qualifications

• 3 Years of HIM inpatient acute care coding experience required.
• Coding education with knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology and anatomy; query guidelines required.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for inpatient services including LTACH and swing bed.
• Query providers to improve documentation and accuracy.
• Mentor and train coders; participate in professional development.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure documentation integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Attain coding quality and productivity goals.
