Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI methods across operations, driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will leverage Lean tools, VSM, Kaizen, and optimization techniques to identify root causes and deliver measurable value.

The role interfaces with all levels of the operation and reports to the Lead Engineer/CI Manager. The ideal candidate has a strong background in engineering or business with 5+ years in warehousing,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with 5+ years’ related experience in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing.
• MBA or Master’s in related field with 3+ years’ experience; under MBA, undergrad in Engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio required.

Responsibilities

• Lead CI projects from initiation to sustained results across the site.
• Develop and manage continuous improvement plans to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Coach teams on lean methods, value stream mapping, Kaizen events, and PDCA cycles.
• Perform data analysis to identify gaps and drive data-driven improvements.
• Support automation and go-live certifications; interact with operations management.
