Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior II Site Reliability Engineer - Network to help build and maintain fast, scalable and reliable routing software and infrastructure for the Akamai Connected Cloud.

You will partner with software development, operations and network teams to define requirements, build automation, and establish standards that ensure high availability and performance across our global platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS or related field
• 8+ years in SRE, network reliability, or DevOps roles with large-scale systems
• Proficiency with configuration management (Ansible/Salt/Chef/Puppet)

Responsibilities

• Partner across teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and usability of network infrastructure, products, and services.
• Define requirements to influence designs and standards.
• Develop automation pipelines for development, testing and deployment workflows.
• Define SLOs for network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with Dev and QA to improve code quality and stability.
• Mentor team members and drive code quality and architectural decisions.
