Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Texas seeks a senior lead designer to supervise a team of designers, delivering electrical and instrumentation deliverables on time and within budget.

This role requires 20+ years of industry experience, NEC familiarity, and the ability to mentor staff, perform loading and conduit sizing, and coordinate across disciplines; on-site startup support is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD required.
• 20+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical/instrumentation drafting.
• Familiarity with NEC and load/conduit sizing; ability to perform voltage drop calculations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a design team to deliver 480VAC and 15kV/5kV equipment specs with review and approval.
• Provide technical guidance to junior designers and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Assist on-site during startup and interact with clients on technical matters.
• Develop construction cost estimates and schedules; ensure scope meets budget.
