Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking a Lead Designer with extensive electrical and instrumentation experience to supervise a design team and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of all electrical/instrumentation deliverables. The role requires technical depth and the ability to mentor staff while coordinating with other disciplines and clients.

You will produce 480VAC and 15kV/5kV equipment specifications, ensure NEC compliance, and support on-site startup with strong engineering judgment

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD required.
• 15+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical/instrumentation drafting and design.
• Familiarity with NEC and ability to size wire, conduit and installation details.

Responsibilities

• Lead a design team to deliver electrical/instrumentation deliverables on time and within budget.
• Mentor subordinates and provide technical guidance to drafting staff.
• Produce 480VAC equipment specifications with engineering review and approval.
• Produce 15kV/5kV equipment specifications with engineering review and approval.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and interact with clients on technical matters.
