Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a senior-level Design Lead to supervise a team of designers and deliver electrical and instrumentation projects on schedule and within budget. The role requires extensive NEC knowledge and the ability to produce detailed installation and equipment specifications, including 480VAC and 15kV/5kV systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting is required.
• 12+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting and design.
• Familiarity with NEC and ability to perform lighting and power calculations.
• Ability to size wire/conduit and perform voltage drop calculations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation with strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a design team to deliver electrical/instrumentation deliverables on time and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance to designers and ensure adherence to design standards.
• Prepare installation details, cable schedules, and panel layouts.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and clients to resolve scope and design changes.
• Mentor staff and participate in training and development programs.
